Seminar Title: A FASD Mouse Model: Biochemically Mimicking Alcohol Exposure using Gsc promoter driven Cyp26A1 cDNA
Learning Objectives:
· Describe Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and the FASD continuum.
· Describe the clinical features of FAS in humans and explain the resultant phenotypic effects obtained in murine models of FAS.
· Explain the rationale for the molecular strategy and targeting of the CYP26A1:eGFP cassette to the Goosecoid (Gsc) locus and describe cassette validation techniques in vitro and in vivo.
