January 6 - Speaker- Lawrence Ryner, PhD, Dept of Medical Physics, CCMB
"Enhanced MRI for Cancer Assessment"
Abstract- MRI is capable of much more than exquisite images of soft-tissue. It can non-invasively probe the biochemistry of tissue, provide markers of angiogenesis, assess tumour cellularity, and much more. Dr. Ryner will review the basics of MR imaging and move on to review the additional information available for cancer assessment through enhanced MRI techniques.
