Topic: “Familial ALS with FUS mutations has compromised alternative splicing and autoregulation - a mechanism of rare disease with broad implication?”
After this session, participants will be able to:
Understand the genetics bases of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Describe the mechanism of FUS autoregulation through alternative splicing.
Discuss the significance of dysregulated FUS autoregulation in ALS-FUS pathogenesis and its therapeutic implication..
This event is an accredited group learning activity as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
